The Xbox Kinect has this week toppled sales of over 1 million units. A figure that must have Microsoft grinning like a cheshire cat. The strong initial sales suggest that the Kinect is sure to be a big hit this Christmas and quite possibly a sell-out!
A spokesperson from Microsoft said “They are well on their way to the 5 million sold units mark” they set themselves before the end of the year. They also added they will be working hard with retailers to supplement demand and ensure that the Kinect doesn’t become gold dust before the festive period.
